The Right care, first time, where you live (Program) is a transformative Program that will deliver 21st Century decision support tools and health systems solutions that will empower communities to capitalise on the mental health of young people. The Program of work will achieve this by building community capacity to leverage systems modelling and simulation to inform:

  1. Effective mental health system strengthening to provide coordinated health and social care at the right time, to young people, independent of their socio-economic status, cultural heritage or where they live.

  2. An investment case for the broader social, education and economic determinants of life-long mental health and wellbeing that is compelling to funders.

This system decision-support tool will navigate a challenging decision-making environment for each site. This will then strengthen and coordinate the delivery of mental health in a responsive and dynamic way. Such a tool will then emphasise the social and economic drivers of mental health and well-being and will empower communities to make compelling investment cases to decision-makers for each site. Regional place-based decision-support ecosystems will be sustainable to support the life-long mental health and wellbeing for young people in their communities.
